During a conversation with Dr Patrycja Sasnal, Head of the PISM Research and Analysis Office, Minister Kurtyka answered questions concerning, among other things, cooperation between OECD countries, reconstruction of economies after the COVID-19 pandemic, and strategy for changing the global energy mix. There were also topics related to the Minister's candidacy for the position of OECD Secretary-General and his programme for the Organisation.

"An organisation such as the OECD can play a key role in rebuilding our world after a pandemic. As a candidate for its Secretary-General, I have proposed a New Growth Agenda to help get our economies back on track. It is not about rebuilding the old model in one-to-one - the crisis has revealed its shortcomings. Lessons must be learned, and the system must be rebuilt to withstand future shocks. Taking into account the challenges of, among other things, digitisation, greening of economies, levelling of social inequalities and intergenerational solidarity" - said Minister Michał Kurtyka.
