21.10.2021Virtual annual meeting of the World BankMinister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka attended the online meeting with the representatives of the World Bank held on 18 October 2021. The key items of the agenda were sharing the experiences in the area of energy transition in the countries with high share of coal in their energy mix, including the need to carry out the actions mitigating the effects of closing the mines and protecting the social groups. Minister Kurtyka highlighted the role of the youth in transition shaping.

20.10.202110 000 km with no emission for electromobilityThe Polish Chamber of Electromobility Development (PCED) launches The eMobi Road to COP that is a journey through Europe to Glasgow to submit a petition for establishment of the World Electromobility Day during this year COP 26 climate summit. Inauguration of the event held on 19 October 2021 in the Ministry of Climate and Environment was attended by Minister Michał Kurtyka.

14.10.2021“Sectoral Agreement for the Development of the Hydrogen Economy in Poland” signedOn the initiative of Michał Kurtyka, the Minister of Climate and Environment, representatives of the government administration, business community, science, and business environment units signed, on 14 October 2021 in Warsaw, a “Sectoral Agreement for the Development of the Hydrogen Economy in Poland”. The conclusion of this agreement is a continuation of the process that began on 7 July 2020 with the signing of a “Letter of Intent to establish a partnership to develop the hydrogen economy and conclude a hydrogen sectoral agreement”.
