Poland and Sweden are discussing green technologies

On 17 June 2026, Krzysztof Bolesta, State Secretary at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, met with Daniel Westlén, State Secretary at the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise of the Kingdom of Sweden. Their talks focused on the development of green technologies, supporting environmental innovation and building the competitiveness of European industry in the context of the energy transition.
During the meeting, discussions focused, in particular, on Poland’s and Sweden’s experiences in the decarbonisation of industry, the development of clean technologies and the future of EU climate policy, including reforms to the EU ETS system and the CBAM mechanism. Both sides stressed the importance of stable and predictable regulations that enable businesses to plan long-term investments.
Following the bilateral talks, a meeting was held attended by representatives of Polish and Swedish companies and research institutions. The discussion centred on cooperation in areas including hydrogen technologies, energy and heat storage, wind power, biomass monitoring and sustainable construction.
