The meeting summarised the joint activities of Poland and Ukraine, which contributed to supporting Ukraine's energy system during the difficult period of Russian military aggression against Ukraine and its critical infrastructure.

A joint effort involving Poland, EU countries, the US and others has managed to coordinate assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector. The Ukrainian electricity system has been synchronised with that of continental Europe and Ukraine has come off the Russian grid. Thanks to coordinated action and cooperation between the Polish government and Polish energy companies, it was possible to provide material support to Ukraine

- Anna Moskwa said.

Minister Anna Moskwa emphasised Poland's commitment in the international forum to provide current but also long-term support to Ukraine, stressing our country's active involvement in supporting the Peace Formula for Ukraine announced by President Zelensky.

I am confident that this initiative and the work of Working Group 3 3 - 'Energy Security' of the Peace Formula will contribute to preparing Ukraine well for the reconstruction of its energy sector

- stressed the Head of the Ministry.

During the meeting, progress was discussed on the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum on Energy Cooperation between the Ministry of Climate and Environment of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, which was signed in Kyiv on 1 June 2022. They also discussed the possibilities of further cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and its energy system, which should be based on a 'green' and fair transition.

The large-scale redevelopment of Ukraine's energy sector presents vast opportunities for companies to participate in the 'green' development of the Ukrainian economy. Polish companies are interested in exporting equipment, technology, services and know-how to Ukraine, as well as importing energy resources and 'green' energy and renewable gases

- emphasised the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa.
