The intake for the “My Water” programme is now open

Up to 5,000 PLN in subsidies for household rainwater and thaw water harvesting installations for is now available. 1 July 2020 marks the first day of the call for subsidy applications in the “My Water” programme.
“My Water” is a programme, which will finance as much as 20,000 local household rainwater harvesting installations. Thanks to these investments, 1 million cubic meters of water will be retained where it falls – on private plots. This means that this million cubic metres of water will not end up in the sewage system, thus reducing the risk of flooding as a result of heavy rain, “the Minister of Climate Michał Kurtyka pointed out.
Programme objectives and budget
The Ministry of Climate and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management will invest 100 million PLN in mitigating the effects of drought in Poland. Each owner of a single-family house will be able to receive a subsidy of up to 5,000 PLN, but not more than 80% of the costs incurred after 1 June 2020.

Scope of financed investments
The financing covers the purchase, assembly and start-up of installations allowing for the management of rainwater and thaw waters in the area of the property covered by the project. Thanks to this, these waters will not be drained into household sewage systems, stormwater sewage systems, drainage ditches that direct the water away from the property to adjacent areas, streets, squares and more. The subsidies received can be spent on rainwater pipes, underground or above-ground reservoirs, ponds, drainage systems and elements for irrigation or other use of retained water.
Programme duration
The “My Water” programme will be carried out in 2020-2024, with the signing of subsidy agreements scheduled until 30 June 2024 and fund disbursement until the end of 2024.
About the programme:
“My Water” is a programme prepared to mitigate the effects of drought through the construction of rainwater harvesting systems at home, financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW). The programme was announced on 1 June 2020 during a joint conference with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the Minister of Climate Michał Kurtyka.
