27.05.2022

As part of aid activities, the State Forests provided vehicles to foresters serving in the Ukrainian army. This fact was communicated at the briefing held on 24 May 2022 in the Tomaszów Mazowiecki Forest Inspectorate. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Siarka, the Acting Director General of the State Forests, Józef Kubica as well as the Ukrainian foresters led by the government representatives – the President of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine and the Advisor to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Siarka

I am very pleased that again we may attend the event showing our solidarity with the Ukrainian nation in this difficult period related to the Russian aggression. Today, our neighbours fight for maintaining their sovereignty and for living another day

- said Deputy Minister Edward Siarka.

All ten vehicles have been subjected to an appropriate technical inspection. These are vehicles adapted to driving in difficult areas.

Foresters were among the first to decide to help the citizens of Ukraine. All the time, we support our Eastern neighbours financially in their fight for the defence of independence. I wish Ukraine that the equipment provided saves many lives which are so much at risk today.

- stressed the Deputy Minister.
