The Department for Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America formulates and implements Poland’s foreign policy objectives towards countries of Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. It coordinates the development of bilateral relations with countries within the field of its competence and conducts analyses on the internal situation and foreign policy of these countries.

The Department oversees Poland’s participation in the structures of multilateral and regional cooperation with these countries as well as interregional collaboration.

It also supervises the activity of the relevant Polish diplomatic missions abroad.
