In pursuit of Polish foreign policy tasks, the Department of Promotion and Cultural Diplomacy works to promote Polish culture, science, and education. In collaboration with the Polish Institutes, Embassies and Consulates General, it makes sure Polish authors and artists can participate in major cultural events around the world.

It helps to make the Polish voice heard in seminal international debates. The Department conducts negotiations on international agreements in the fields of culture, education, science, information and youth exchanges. It cooperates with foreign and domestic institutions, opinion makers, and non-governmental organizations, and with the foreign media.
