Member States Representatives of Poland, Sweden and Switzerland, Member States of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) in Korea, met in Warsaw on 14-15 April 2026 for their annual consultations.

On 20 April, Poland and France will celebrate the first Polish-French Friendship Day. The event, established under the landmark Treaty of Nancy, will mark the opening of the Intergovernmental Summit in Gdańsk.

Poland declares its intention to accede to the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Management Committee of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine. The document on this matter was submitted to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

Today, Undersecretary of State Wojciech Zajączkowski met in Warsaw with Secretary-General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Côte d'Ivoire Evariste Koffi Yapi. The deputy ministers talked about the opportunities for intensifying economic cooperation, countering hybrid threats, and cybersecurity, among other topics.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski spoke on the phone today with Anita Orbán, the incoming foreign minister of Hungary's new government. Poland's top diplomat congratulated Ms Orbán warmly on Tisza's historic victory in the parliamentary election and invited her to visit Poland. The two officials also spoke about the priorities in Poland-Hungary relations and the significance of the election result for the democratic states.

The fact that the Russian Supreme Court, following a closed-door hearing of 9 April 2026, designated "the Memorial international civic movement” as an extremist organisation is yet another show of how Russia tends to confront its inconvenient past: by silencing those who are brave enough to speak about it openly and truthfully. For decades, Memorial's activity enabled restoring the memory of the victims of Soviet terror, including the victims of the Katyn Massacre.

Secretary of State Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski and Undersecretary of State Robert Kupiecki attended the commemoration of the Polish Tu-154M crash on the tragedy's 16th anniversary. MFA's senior officials laid flowers at the memorial sites in Warsaw, while Polish delegation led by Ambassador Krzysztof Krajewski paid tribute to the victims on the site of the tragedy near Smolensk.

Poland consistently holds the position that conflicts in the world should be resolved in accordance with the principles and with respect for international law especially United Nations Charter.

A meeting of over 40 states was convened today to talk about the situation in the Middle East. The teleconference was organised by the United Kingdom, with Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski representing Poland.
