On Monday, 17 October 2022, the head of Polish diplomacy will take part in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Luxembourg.

Poland’s Ambassador to Moscow Krzysztof Krajewski conveyed the congratulations on receiving the prize by the Russian organisation to its Chairman, Jan Raczynski.

On 11 October, Minister Zbigniew Rau met in Warsaw with the new Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer. After Prague, this was the second foreign visit of Minister Káčer in his new capacity.

On October 11, Rastislav Káčer will make his second journey as Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic to visit Warsaw, which indicates the importance of Polish-Slovak relations.

On 6-7 October 2022, Head of the Foreign Service Arkady Rzegocki visited Reykjavík. The aim of the visit was to sign a cooperation agreement between Poland’s and Iceland’s foreign services on training opportunities.

On Monday, 10 October 2022, in Alfred Biedermann’s Palace at the University of Łódź, Minister Zbigniew Rau presented prizes and honourable mentions in the 4th and 5th editions of the Foreign Minister’s History Competition. The awards went to research and popular research works as well as source publications that came out in 2019 and 2020.

On October 8-9, 2022 Paweł Jabłoński, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland visited Iran. He took part in the Polish-Iranian political consultations, which take place regularly (with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic) at the level of deputy foreign ministers. The last edition of the consultations took place in 2019.

The OSCE’s Warsaw Human Dimension Conference ended on 7 October 2022. The 10-day event brought together over a thousand attendees representing international organisations, governments, and civil society from the whole OSCE area, who came together to analyse the implementation of the OSCE Human Dimension commitments.

On 7 October 2022, the Human Rights Council of the United Nations voted to adopt a resolution on the human rights situation in the Russian Federation.

On 6 October 2022, Minister Zbigniew Rau opened the 10th edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy, devoted to the defence of democratic values against authoritarianism in the context of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
