On 18-23 September, Minister Zbigniew Rau will visit New York to take part in the high-level week that opens the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

On 15 September 2022, Poland filed a declaration of intervention to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Ukraine’s case against the Russian Federation over allegations of genocide under the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (Ukraine v. the Russian Federation).

“Poland and Lithuania are among the major suppliers of aid for Ukraine. With our joint measures, we set an example for Western partners,” Minister Rau said at a plenary session attended by the prime ministers of Poland and Lithuania.

On 12 and 13 September, the Danish island of Bornholm hosted bilateral consultations between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland and the Kingdom of Denmark.

On 12 September, in Poznań, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk held consultations with Germany’s Minister of State for Europe and Climate Anna Lührmann.

On 12 September, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński held bilateral consultations with the Arab Republic of Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ihab Nasr.

On 12-13 September, the head of Polish diplomacy will take part in bilateral consultations with the minister of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark.

On 9 September, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Piotr Wawrzyk opened an information meeting on Poland’s candidature for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council. The meeting was also attended by Undersecretary of State Paweł Lewandowski of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister who is responsible for telecommunication and digitalisation issues.

On 8 September, Minister Zbigniew Rau visited Prague, where, in his capacity as the OSCE’s Chairman-in-Office, he opened the 30th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.

During the 31st edition of the event, Secretary of State Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk joined three panels: “Geopolitical significance of the new TEN-T network in Central and Eastern Europe”; “Fuel for dominance – looking for advantages in a globalised world”; and “Assistance programmes for Polish nationals from Ukraine, holders of the Pole’s Card”.
