On 24 March, Minister Zbigniew Rau received Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Pavel Latushka, head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, also took part in the talks. The main topics of the meeting were Warsaw’s support for Belarusian citizens, the internal situation in the country, and the role of Minsk in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Thirty children and their carers crossed Poland’s border with Ukraine in Medyka. The children left war-torn Ukraine to undergo treatment in Poland.

On 23 March, Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński met with Lord (Tariq) Ahmad, Minister of State for South and Central Asia, North Africa, the United Nations and the Commonwealth at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the UK Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict.

The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy met with Melanie Huml in Warsaw on Wednesday, 23 March. The talks focused on humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine.

On 22 March, Minister Zbigniew Rau met in Warsaw with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde. The talks between the Polish and the Swedish top diplomats centred around Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, coordination of support for Kyiv, and cooperation within the OSCE.

On 22 March, a videoconference of the Weimar Triangle ministers of foreign affairs was held at the initiative of France, attended by Minister Zbigniew Rau, Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian (France), and Minister Annalena Baerbock (Germany).

EU foreign ministers’ Monday session in Brussels focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Such was also the context of a meeting with Moldova’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolae Popescu. The FAC also covered the situation in Mali and reached an agreement on the draft Strategic Compass for the EU, scheduled for adoption at the forthcoming European Council meeting.

On 21 March, Minister Zbigniew Rau will be in Brussels to take part in a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council devoted to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
