On 25 June, in Warsaw, at Dobra 53, a mural commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Visegrad Group and the end of Poland’s one-year presidency of the V4 was revealed. The event brought together the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, the Minister for Culture, National Heritage and Sport, Prof. Piotr Gliński, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk, Director of the National Centre for Culture, Prof. Rafał Wiśniewski, as well as representatives of the Visegrad Group diplomatic posts accredited to Poland: the ambassador of the Slovak Republic, Andrej Droba, the ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, Orsolya Zsuzsanna Kovács and chargé d’affaires of the Chech Republic, Jiří Kyrian.

“Tajikistan remains Poland’s partner in Central Asia, both in terms of international policy and the local approach” – stated Deputy Minister Mr. Marcin Przydacz after the talks with the Deputy Head of Diplomatic Representation of Tajikistan – Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda.

On 23 June, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Health organised a joint press briefing on summer season travel and travel warnings.

“We urge the Belarusian authorities to release political prisoners already counted in hundreds. Among them more than twenty journalists and media workers, including Raman Pratasevich, TV Belsat journalists – Katsiaryna Andreyeva and Daria Chultsova, leaders of the Union of Poles in Belarus: Andżelika Borys and Andrzej Poczobut, a journalist himself,” said Minister Rau during a discussion on the margins of the 47th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

On 23 and 24 June, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz was on a visit to Berlin. Together with Magdalena Gawin, Deputy Minister at the Polish Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, he launched the exhibition Long Live Belarus! at the Pilecki Institute.

Democratic countries have to cope with an increasingly serious problem of hostile cyber activities sponsored from the territories of other countries. Poland, like other EU member states before it, has recently fallen victim to massive cyber attacks and disinformation campaigns.

The Monday meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg focused on the EU’s engagement in Belarus and in Iraq as well as on relations with Latin America and the Caribbean countries. EU foreign ministers met with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and Iraq’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Mohammed Hussein. Important aspects of discussions on the current agenda and any other business included the situation in Russia and Turkey, as well as the campaign of cyber-attacks against Poland.

While in Antalya, Turkey, Minister Zbigniew Rau met with his Turkish, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Iranian counterparts on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The main point on the agenda was the Biden-Putin summit, its results and implications.

“Poland supports European integration of the Western Balkans. We are strongly in favour of launching accession negotiations with both Albania and North Macedonia as soon as possible,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk.
