“Both publications presented today are extraordinary stories of outstanding Poles who despite being far away from their motherland, remained devoted to Poland while serving other nations with their mind and talent,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk during a press briefing that promoted the books launched by the MFA.

“We express solidarity with Cyprus and Greece in defending their sovereign rights and we support attempts to resolve the contentious issues in the EU’s dialogue with Turkey, a country which remains an important partner for the EU in spite of the differences of opinion,” said Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz at a Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

Today, on behalf of the Polish President, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has presented Maciej Lang with the nomination to the position of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Romania.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland informs that pursuant to article 8 section 5 and 7 of the Act of 2 June 2020 on special rules for the organisation of general elections of the President of the Republic of Poland ordered in 2020 with the possibility of postal voting (Polish Journal of Laws, item 979), Polish consuls decide on issuing or revoking announcements regulating issues related to personal deliveries of return envelopes with postal ballot packs to consular posts/district electoral commissions on polling day.

“We are interested in boosting political dialogue with Spain, particularly as part of the permanent mechanisms of Polish-Spanish intergovernmental consultations, parliamentary fora, and top-level visits, as well as further intensifying our bilateral cooperation in defence, trade, investment, tourism, culture, science, and education,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during today’s visit to Spain.

Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Jens Stoltenberg presented members of NATO’s Advisory Group for Emerging and Disruptive Technologies. One of the group’s experts is a representative from Poland, Izabela Albrycht, who is the chairperson of the Kosciuszko Institute. Her candidacy was put forward by the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“Our countries are tied by close regional security cooperation, particularly within the Bucharest Nine format. We share similar views on challenges facing NATO’s eastern flank, and we declare our strong commitment to maintaining close transatlantic relations,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz at a meeting with Slovak Minister of Defence Jaroslav Nad’, held in Warsaw.
