On 10 July, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz will visit Madrid at the invitation of Arancha González Laya, Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain.

“For many centuries, Poland and Mongolia have enjoyed bonds of friendship which nowadays are reflected in effective cooperation in many fields, including culture and education. All the more, I am convinced that there is enormous potential for further enhancement of contacts between our countries and we should make use of it,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz at the Asia and Pacific Museum, while opening the exhibition of photographs that have arrived from The Choijin Lama Temple in Ulaanbaatar.

On 7 July, during the Visegrad Group foreign ministers meeting in Wadowice, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz thanked his partners for visiting Karol Wojtyła’s home town. “It is very important in the context of the Pope’s 100th birthday anniversary,” said the chief of Polish diplomacy.

On 7 July, the Visegrad Group foreign ministers will meet in Wadowice. It will be the first meeting at this level to be held as part of the Polish presidency of the V4, which started on 1 July 2020.

Poland’s consular service has already sent out all, i.e. about 480,000 ballot packs to Polish voters who live abroad and will vote in the second round of the presidential elections by postal vote.

“Back on track” is the motto with which Poland takes over the Visegrad Group (V4) presidency. “The slogan is not only about economic recovery or a simple return to pre-pandemic projects and activities. It is about restoring mutual trust and effective solidarity in the face of unprecedented challenges and, at the same time, about rethinking Central Europe, our values, and aspirations which are in line with the new conditions,” emphasised Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during a webinar organised by the Polish Institute of International Affairs and the Centre for Eastern Studies.

The chief of Polish diplomacy met with Olivér Várhelyi to discuss European Neighbourhood Policy funding under the new Multiannual Financial Framework, the future of the Eastern Partnership, southern neighbourhood cooperation and enlargement policy.

“From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, Poland has been present in the Middle East region, providing necessary humanitarian aid for the civilian population. Since 2012, we have been engaged in bilateral and multilateral humanitarian aid for Syria and its neighbouring countries,” said Undersecretary of State Paweł Jabłoński during today’s conference “Supporting the future of Syria and the region”.

On July 1st 2020 Poland takes the lead in the Visegrad Group. "Back on track" will be the motto of this Polish Presidency.
