“The airport is a symbolic place of farewells and welcomes, departures and returns. It makes us think of the freedom of travel, freedom in general, and the awaited moment of homecoming, the return to one’s homeland,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk in Poznan when signing of an agreement on assistance provided at airports to repatriates from Kazakhstan, arriving to settle in Poland.

– The agreement signed today reflects Poland’s engagement in a peaceful resolution of international disputes and protection of inviolable human rights, also by defending them on a global arena – said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during the signing ceremony.

Deputy Ministers Konrad Szymański and Marcin Przydacz took part in discussions on Poland’s role in the European Union and on Eastern policy, organised jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Centres for International Debate.

“Today we wish to send a strong joint message to all societies in Europe and across the world – the Boris Nemtsov testimony remains relevant,” Minister Czaputowicz said at the opening of the Boris Nemtsov Forum in Warsaw.

“Poland and the Republic of Korea are strategic partners. Our cooperation has a great potential, especially in the area of economy, research and innovation,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz at a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Kang Kyung-wha.

“We attach great importance to relations with Chile, Peru, and Colombia. We would like to give them fresh impetus, especially in economic relations,” said the MFA undersecretary of state during political consultations in South America.

On 6-8 October Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will visit the Republic of Korea in connection with the inauguration of the cybersecurity working group meeting. The group operates within the framework of the so-called Warsaw Process that was launched in Warsaw in February 2019 during a conference on building peace and security in the Middle East.

“The aim of our foreign policy is to create a safe and friendly architecture around Poland that enables us to implement our political and economic goals, enhance Poland’s standing, and to promote our culture,” Deputy Minister Przydacz said during another in a series of debates held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Centres for International Debate.

“We oppose all forms of curbing freedom of religion or belief, and we strongly condemn all acts of violence and discrimination based on religion or belief,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz in his opening address to this year’s Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy.
