Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz started his stay in New York by visiting the oldest and only Polish parish of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr in Manhattan. Minister Czaputowicz will stay in the USA until Thursday for the ministerial week of the UN General Assembly.

On the second day of his visit to New York, Minister Czaputowicz joined President Andrzej Duda at a meeting on the protection of religious freedom, met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov and took part in the EU foreign ministers’ meeting (FAC).

During his working visit to Poland, Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani met with Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and Deputy Minister Konrad Szymański. The talks focused on the European prospects of North Macedonia.

“American military engagement in Europe is key to sustaining NATO’s collective defence capabilities,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said during a debate on the US military presence in Poland.

The intensification of economic relations and development cooperation between Poland and East African countries was the main topic of talks between Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz and representatives from the ministries of foreign affairs and the economy during his visit to Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, on 15-21 September.

Current European Union agenda, security policy, forging closer bilateral political and economic ties, as well as cooperation in regional formats were among the topics discussed by Jacek Czaputowicz and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Ramona Mănescu. The meeting was held as part of Polish-Romanian intergovernmental consultations in Bucharest.

“The institute is an important source of expert knowledge. Its insight is always reliable and allows to understand not just the facts, but the determinants, interests and motives behind them,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz during the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs (PISM), which were held at the Warsaw’s Royal Castle.

“The seat of ODIHR in Warsaw is a symbolic recognition of our country’s pioneership with regard to restoring freedom, respect for human rights and democratic order in Europe,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said during the opening session of the OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meeting in Warsaw.

“We share a common view on the future shape of Visegrad Group cooperation. We stress the need to keep solidarity and develop a joint position regarding key items on the EU’s agenda,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said after meeting with his Slovak counterpart Miroslav Lajčák.
