On 11-13 January 2023, Undersecretary of State Wojciech Gerwel travelled to the United States. He visited New York and Washington, D.C., where he took part in the UN Security Council open debate and the Council’s briefing on Ukraine, and held bilateral meetings.

On 12 January 2023, due to assumption of an office with the Chancellery of the President of Poland, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz completed his mission at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 10 January 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Government Plenipotentiary for Compensation for Damage Caused by German Aggression and Occupation in 1939-1945, asked Committees of the US Congress to provide support regarding Poland’s efforts to obtain compensation for losses caused by German aggression and occupation in 1939-1945.

On 28 December 2022, Germany’s Federal Foreign Office replied to Polish MFA’s note of 3 October 2022.

On 3 January 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Government Plenipotentiary for Compensation for Damage Caused by German Aggression and Occupation in 1939-1945, asked the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, President of the United Nations General Assembly Csaba Kőrösi, President of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva Václav Bálek, as well as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva Volker Türk, to establish cooperation and provide support regarding Poland’s efforts to obtain compensation for losses caused by the German aggression and occupation in 1939-1945.

The Maurycy Mochnacki Laurel Prize Gala commemorated the 196th anniversary of “Gazeta Polska” (Polish Newspaper), with Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk as this year’s laureate.

On 20 December 2022, a ceremony to present the Minister of Foreign Affairs Amicus Oeconomiae award was held with the participation of Wojciech Gerwel, Undersecretary of State for Economic Cooperation, the United Nations, and Asia Policy.
