    According to estimates from the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, the unemployment rate in Poland was 5.1 per cent in May this year. 'Compared to the previous month, the registered unemployment rate fell by 0.1 p.p. It is the lowest unemployment rate recorded in May in more than 30 years,' Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg said.

    The Sejm of the Republic of Poland adopted the Act introducing the annual payment of the 14th pension on a permanent basis. „This new solution is an expression of care for our pensioners, gives them an additional financial support that will allow them to better manage everyday expenses and enjoy a well-deserved rest” – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

    The Sejm held the first reading of the government draft act on the additional annual cash benefit for old age and disability pensioners, introducing the fourteenth pension for good. The benefit will be received by about 8.3 million old age and disability pensioners, and in total they receive nearly PLN 12 billion.

    Almost 13.5 thousand places in nurseries or similar places of care for young children are to be created in Mazowsze thanks to a subsidy from the „Toddler+” programme by 2029. More than 4.2 thousand of them will be created in Warsaw. Deputy Minister Barbara Socha and Deputy Minister Anita Czerwińska presented the new edition of the programme in the Mazowiecki Voivodeship Office.
