Young people from all over the country gathered in Warsaw at a conference dedicated to the situation on the labour market in Poland. Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy, took part in the discussion.

The government has adopted a draft amendment to the Act on Counteracting Domestic Violence. What does this mean in practice? First of all, extending the definition of domestic violence to include economic and digital violence, but not only. – These are a number of changes to better protect the family – says Anna Schmidt, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy and Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment.

Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy, and Stanisław Szwed, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, took part in the award ceremony on the occasion of the Social Worker’s Day, which took place at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. This year, the winners received: 10 individual awards and 8 team awards for outstanding, innovative solutions in the field of social assistance.

It is our duty to develop a friendly pro-family policy and this is what our government does – said Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy, during the discussion at Congress 590. The Ministry of Family and Social Policy is the institutional partner of the 7th edition of the Congress. The autumn edition of Congress 590 took place on 17-18 November in Rzeszów, within the walls of the local university. The second day of the event was opened by a debate with the participation of Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy. The discussion was devoted to the family policy in the era of inflation, and the participants of the debate responded to the question whether it is worth investing in the family?

According to the preliminary data of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, the October registered unemployment rate was 5.1 percent. Compared to the previous month, the number of job seekers fell by 4.2 thousand and amounted to 797.5 thousand.

The 8th reporting and election session of the Civic Seniors’ Parliament took place in the building of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. It was attended by Minister Marlena Maląg.

According to Eurostat in September this year, the unemployment rate was 2.6 percent. The same result was recorded a month earlier. – This means that we are again ranked 2nd in the European Union in terms of the lowest level of unemployment – says Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.

The government has adopted a draft act on the ICT system to handle certain contracts. With the solutions provided for in this act, employers and principals will gain a tool for executing contracts and archiving documentation. Calculating and paying taxes and insurance premiums will be less complicated.

Minister Marlena Maląg opened a conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The invited guests included representatives of the government as well as institutions and organisations that care about the rights of people with disabilities on a daily basis.
