More than PLN 38.1 million will go to municipalities all over Poland as part of this year’s edition of the Care 75+ programme, thanks to which the availability of care services, including specialist ones, is growing.

Minister Marlena Maląg received at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy the delegation led by the EC Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit. The talks concerned the assistance provided by Poland to the citizens of Ukraine.

A citizen of Ukraine can start working in Poland without having a work permit. An employer only needs to remember to confirm this fact within 14 days on the website praca.gov.pl.

Once again, the fifth edition of the Quality Mark of Social and Solidarity Economy competition will allow to select the most outstanding entities of social and solidarity economy as well as local government units. The certificates awarded contribute to building the brand both of individual entities and of the entire social economy sector.

The Minister of Family and Social Policy has already allocated funds for implementing the measures under the Assistance Corps for the Seniors. In total, the voivodeships will receive nearly PLN 61 million.

Thanks to this year’s edition of the Senior+ programme, 105 new Senior+ Homes and Clubs will be created all over Poland while 598 existing institutions will receive co-financing for operation – I am happy that thanks to the Senior+ programme, together with self-governments, we may activate elderly people, create for them a space for self-fulfilment, for meetings with others – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

On the vortal of public employment services, a new tab has appeared which is addressed to citizens of Ukraine who came to Poland in connection with the war in their country. The Labour market – help for Ukraine tab, also available in Ukrainian, contains information about, inter alia, the labour market in Poland, in the European Union, as well as the help in other areas.

Since 1 March, the threshold entitling to receive a supplementary benefit for persons unable to live independently has increased. An additional benefit is granted to those who receive monthly benefits of up to PLN 1,896.13 gross.

The first subject of the meeting of the EU Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council, undertaken on the initiative of Poland, is assistance provided to citizens of Ukraine leaving their country due to the war. The activities of Poland were presented in Brussels by Minister Marlena Maląg.

„Mothers cry out: stop shooting at children” – under this slogan, a march against the Russian aggression in Ukraine was held on Saturday in Warsaw. The event was attended by, inter alia, Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, as well as the Members of the Parliament, members of „Gazeta Polska” clubs and residents of the capital.
