Family Care Capital means PLN 12 thousand for the second and subsequent child aged from 12 to 36 months. Parents will decide on their own whether they want to receive PLN 500 per month for two years or PLN 1,000 for one year. On Friday, 17 September, the first reading of the draft act was held in the Sejm.

Entrusting the handling of the programme to the Social Insurance Institution, submitting applications online only and moving away from payment of benefits in cash – these are the most important proposed changes in the „Family 500+” programme. On Wednesday, the first reading of the draft amendment to the Act in this matter was held in the Sejm.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the Council of Ministers adopted a regulation on the minimum salary for work in 2022. Next year, the minimum salaries will increase to the level of PLN 3,010, and the hourly rate will be PLN 19.70.

On 10 September, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy signed a partnership agreement for the implementation of a project aimed at developing an act on equalising opportunities for persons with disabilities. This will open the door to the full implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

More than eight million old age and disability pensioners will gain thanks to the new regulations included in the draft act adopted on 8 September by the Council of Ministers. Tax-free pensions are another element of the comprehensive senior policy pursued by the United Right government.

What appeared in the pyramid of needs of young people, was the housing policy, stable work, tax policy, health, but also care for children below 3. The response to these needs are the solutions included in the Polish Order and Demographic Strategy – said the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg on Wednesday at the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz. The panels devoted to the senior policy were also attended by Deputy Ministers Stanisław Szwed and Paweł Wdówik.

The Minister of Family and Social Policy – Marlena Maląg was appointed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki as the Chair of the Social Dialogue Council for the 2020/2021 term.

At the end of August, the registered unemployment rate amounted to 5.8% – as it results from the estimates of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. Last month, 961.8 thousand unemployed persons were registered with labour offices. – The situation in the labour market is better than last year – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

The latest data published by Eurostat bring good news. In July, the unemployment rate in Poland amounted to 3.4%. A month before, it was 3.6%. Meanwhile, across the European Union, unemployment in July amounted to 6.9%. – The situation is clearly improving, we are also well above the EU average – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

Just like in the case of the “Good Start” programme, soon the submission of an application for the child-support benefit under the “Family 500+” programme will be possible online only. Also, the Social Insurance Institution will be involved in the service of the programme. The Council of Ministers adopted a draft amendment to the Act on this matter. Families can rest assured – the most important rules of the programme will remain unchanged and no one who has the right to the benefit today will lose it.
