The labour market situation in the first month of 2025 was stable. Estimates from the Ministry of Labour show that in January 2025, the registered unemployment rate was 5.4 per cent, the same as a year ago.

How can artificial intelligence be used to contribute to decent work and a just society in the European Union and beyond? This was one of the questions that participants at a conference organised by the European Economic and Social Committee and held in Brussels on Monday tried to answer. The Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, participated in one of the panels.

The Statistics Poland confirmed the forecasts of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy - unemployment in Poland at the end of December 2024 was 5.1 per cent. There were 786,200 people unemployed at the end of last year.

Challenges and development opportunities related to artificial intelligence was the theme of the 55th World Economic Forum in Davos, which was attended by Labour Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk and the ministry's Director-General Liwiusz Laska. The head of the MFLSP spoke during a panel on technological change in the context of the labour market.

On Thursday, the first meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the EU Council on equal pay for men and women, appointed by the labour Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy (MFLSP).
