“Personal assistant for persons with disabilities” is another programme introduced by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy addressed to persons with disabilities. The first edition of the programme will be implemented from 1 October 2019 to 31 December 2020. It will be financed under the Solidarity Fund for Persons with Disabilities, the main purpose of which is to provide social support for persons with disabilities, among others.

Before the introduction of the “Family 500+” Programme, many people were suggesting that Polish citizens would not spend the additional funds wisely. What are the facts? - In June this year, i.e. before the extension of the Programme to include each child, 1760 benefits were provided in kind or in the form of paying for services. That accounts for 0.047% of all benefits paid. Polish citizens use the “500+” wisely” - comments Minister Bożena Borys-Szopa.

The additional aid for pensioners in the form of a so-called “thirteenth pension” is the implementation of our promise - we kept our word. In October we are launching another programme - “Personal assistant for persons with disabilities.” The programme will provide persons with disabilities with support in everyday activities and facilitate their functioning in social life.

The monthly upbringing allowance “Family 500+” gives confidence that the expenses associated with maintaining a household are under control. In addition, additional money allows you to spend time with your family in an attractive way - say the parents.

Investing in families, changing the views with regards to shaping the government policy towards families, pro-family government programmes and demographic challenges - all of these issues have been discussed on Thursday during the demographic summit in Budapest by the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Bożena Borys-Szopa.

We now know the results of the competition launched under the framework of the programme for supporting the employment of family assistants and foster care coordinators. The Ministry will dedicate nearly PLN 75 million for that purpose.

The “Three Plus” Association of Large Families has won the competition for acquiring partners for the Large Family Card. - Today we have signed an agreement for our cooperation in this area. Considering our experience from the previous years, the Association of Large Families is doing a great job. Today, discounts are offered by over 5.8 thousand companies and institutions in 23.5 thousand locations - says the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Bożena Borys-Szopa.

In the first half of the current year, 88.5 thousand men took a paternity leave. That is an increase of 2.9 thousand in relation to the first six months of 2018.
