However, in connection with them, we hear most often that they are too low and are insufficient for a decent living. ‘I agree that these amounts are not fully satisfactory. However, we must note their considerable increase, for example, in comparison to 2015,’ says Minister Elżbieta Rafalska.

16.05.2019On Thursday, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda signed the amendment of the act that entitles all children until 18 years of age to receive the 500+ benefit. ‘Children are our national good; it is the matter of the state to bring them up in social security,’ said the President. The ceremony in the Presidential Palace was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło, the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Elżbieta Rafałska, the Marshal of the Senate Stanisław Karczewski and the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Beata Mazurek.

14.05.2019From 1 July this year, following the changes within the Family 500+ program, all disabled children until 18 years of age will be entitled to this benefit. Until now, around 90% of children with disabilities have received them.
