On 4 June, Minister Bożena Borys-Szopa took the office of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy. At a joint conference with Minister Elżbieta Rafalska, they talked about continuing the social policy for Polish families.

“We welcome the outstanding specialist, experienced in social policy, Bożena Borys-Szopa, in the Ministry. I leave to her a highly competent team of people. We implemented a number of projects together with voivodes and local governments. It was very good collaboration”, said Minister Elżbieta Rafalska, now member of the European Parliament, during the briefing.

Minister Bożena Borys-Szopa declared that she intended to continue and develop important social programmes. “Apart from working together in the commission, we are good friends with Minister Elżbieta Rafalska in private. I am happy that I can work with top specialists. We will be continuing the pro-family programmes”, she said.

The Deputy Minister Stanisław Szwed thanked the former Minister Rafalska for almost 4 years of her work in the Ministry. “I believe that we will continue working together to support Polish families”, he said.
