Informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment

20.04.2016

On 19 and 20 April this year, an informal meeting of Ministers for Employment and Social Policy of the EU Member States is held in Amsterdam. The leader of the Polish delegation is Minister Elżbieta Rafalska.

One of the topics raised during the meeting is the issue of mobility and posting of workers, especially in the context of the proposed amendment to Directive 96/71/EC on the posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services presented by the European Commission on 8 March this year.

It should be emphasised that Poland takes a negative stance on the amendments to Directive 96/71/EC proposed by the EC. During the Polish speech, the doubts related to the compliance of the draft with the subsidiarity principle will be raised, the negative impact of the proposed solutions on entrepreneurs and the functioning of the internal market of the European Union will be indicated, as well as the objections to individual solutions of the draft will be presented.
