Informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment and Social Policy

15.07.2016

State Secretary Stanisław Szwed took part in an informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment and Social Policy, which took place in Bratislava on 14-15 July 2016.

The ministers' discussion was devoted to the topic of “Facing social and technological challenges in the world of work – demographic change, migration and digitisation”.

The need to match the skills of employees related to new technologies to the needs of the labour market was pointed out. Attention was paid to the atypical forms of employment, which appear more and more often and which are a consequence of the progressive digitisation, and the related challenges in the context of labour law and social security legislation. The role of social partners in this process was also emphasised.
