Informal meeting of the EPSCO

On 3 and 4 April 2017, Minister Marcin Zieleniecki, Undersecretary of State, is participating in an informal meeting of Ministers of Employment and Social Policy in Valletta. The main topic of the meeting is “making work pay.”

The outcome of the political debate of the Ministers on improving the profitability of work is to be include in the draft conclusions of the EU Council to promote initiatives which encourage the unemployed to enter the labour market, thereby helping to attract people back to employment, prevent occupational inactivity and thus reduce the risk of poverty and social exclusion.

 

The two-day meeting is divided into two parts. The part related to employment is held on the first day of the meeting, while the second day of the meeting is devoted entirely to social policy.
