Foreigners have equal rights

On 9 May this year, Undersecretary of State, Elżbieta Bojanowska, met with Anna Carin Öst, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in Poland.

The meeting was devoted to development of cooperation, opportunities for the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of measures aimed at the integration of foreigners, as well as combating violence against migrant women in Poland.

Anna Carin Öst ensured about the UNHCR's readiness to provide support and advice on issues related to foreigners in Poland.

Deputy Minister Bojanowska informed that work on new migration policy in Poland, which the Ministry of the Interior and Administration is responsible for, is ongoing. At the same time, she emphasised that in Poland foreigners have the same rights as other citizens of the country.
