Meeting with American entrepreneurs

On 17 May this year, Minister Elżbieta Rafalska and Undersecretary of State Marcin Zieleniecki met in Warsaw with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce – AmCham in Poland.

The AmCham is an organisation of the largest American entrepreneurs, employing over 200 thousand people, who invested over PLN 91 billion in Poland. It focuses on improving investment conditions, developing the economy and promoting Poland on the US market.

The meeting was devoted to regulations related to labour law in Poland. The discussion included the issue of changes in labour law which promote flexibility of employment and improvement of competitiveness of the Polish economy, as well as the broader perspective of the labour market situation in Poland in the context of the needs of employers.

The meeting was attended by about 100 representatives of member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, in the rank of Presidents and Directors General.

Minister Elżbieta Rafalska presented the situation on the labour market in Poland, pointing to the very good current economic conditions: decline in unemployment, employment growth, wage growth.
