2 years of the Family 500+ Programme

During the meeting with the residents of the gmina of Radymno in the Podkarpacie Voiodeship on the second anniversary of introducing the Family 500+ Programme Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that the Family 500+ Programme would be a key part of the social programme in the following years.

This is the programme rebuilding the dignity of Polish families, providing them with instruments, tools, means which they have not had so far – stated the Head of the Government.

The Family 500+ Programme reduces poverty among families with children, especially large families. Last year 403 thousand children were born. I want to ackonwledge those parents who are making the effort of rasing children. Another goal to achieve is investing in human capital. We want to constanly improve welfare of Polish children said Minister Rafalska. And also pointed out that 500+ Programme is important, crucial and unique.

Thanks to the funding level of Family 500+ Programme Poland is among countries with the best family policy said Minister Rafalska. And also recognized those involved in creation and smooth implementation of the Programme, among others, Beata Szydło, Deputy Prime Minister and Voivods.

In January 2018, 3,684 thousand children were entitled to receive this benefit and 2,413 thousand families participated in the Programme. Currently, 53% of children under 18 are entitled to receive benefits under the Family 500+ Programme. Since the inception of the Family 500+ Programme families recived PLN 42,62 million of support.
