The challenges facing social policy, the role of local governments in its implementation, the situation on the labour market, social capital as a basis for development or senior policy – these are just some of the issues discussed during the 27th Economic Forum.

In August this year, the unemployment rate was 7,1%, as indicated by the estimates of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. Compared to the same period last year, its level is 1.3 points lower (it was 8.4%, then).

On 29 June this year, another meeting of the Visegrad Group took place in the Polish Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. 

“Assessment of the results of the 'Family 500+' programme so far is unequivocally positive. The programme is achieving the basic objectives set for it: investment in family, reduction of child poverty and the pro-natalistic objective,” Minister Elżbieta Rafalska said in the Sejm. 

On 15 June this year, Deputy Minister Marcin Zieleniecki attended the meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council in Luxembourg.

On 7 June 2017, Minister Elżbieta Rafalska, along with Deputy Minister Stanisław Szwed and Deputy Minister Marcin Zieleniecki, met with representatives of the Social Policy Committee of the National Assembly of Hungary, headed by the Chair of the Committee, Gabriella Selmeczi.
