Working Holiday Scheme Poland-Chile

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Republic of Chile on a Working Holiday Scheme was signed in Warsaw on the 28thof April, 2017 and entered into force on the 27thof July, 2017.

The benefits of the Programme

Working Holiday Scheme is dedicated for young people (aged 18 to 30, both inclusive) allowing its participants to stay in the host contry for the maximum of 1 (one) year. During the holiday, the participants are also allowed to perform work, while the main purpose of their stay should be tourism and learning about the culture and lifestyle of the host country.

Requirements for the participation in the Programme

Citizens of Poland and Chile are entitled to apply for the Programme if they meet certain requirements; in particular they:

  • declare in writing that he/she intends to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland primarily for the purpose of enhancing the knowledge of the language and culture, with employment not being a primary reason for the visit;
  • are aged between eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years, both inclusive, at the time of submitting the application;
  • shall not be accompanied by dependants;
  • have a valid passport, issued not earlier than ten (10) years before applying for a visa, having at least two (2) blank pages and valid at least three (3) months after the end of the planned stay;
  • have a return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase it;
  • present documents proving the possession of necessary funds, according to the respective provisions of both jurisdictions, to cover the maintenance during the period of stay in the host country;
  • have purchased health insurance required under laws and regulations of the Parties, that will be valid throughout the entire stay;
  • submit a signed statement showing the non-existence of a criminal record.
