• How the deliver the in-kind assistance?

• Who will be a consignee of the cargo?

The consignee of the incoming aid is the Emergency Service of Ukraine, however, due to the situation in Ukraine the State Fire Service of Poland was asked to provide support with collecting and logistic. In the warehouse, the Ukrainian representatives should be present to confirm donations. If the situation will not allow, we will take all gathered donation forms to the border where a representative of ESE of Ukraine signs them and we will come back to you with the scann.

• What is needed?

The list of the requested equipment by Ukraine you can find below. No quantity limits were set up.

portable high-pressure water pump units,

firefighter turnout gears,

firefighter hoods,

firefighter gloves,

firefighter boots,

firefighter helmets,

technical  rescue equipment (ie. chainsaws, circular saw, etc.)

• I have other goods to donate (not from the list, ie. blankets and sleeping bags), can I send it to you as well?

No, we accept only donations from the list. All other donations should go through Union Civil Protection Mechanism or UN Log Cluster ukraine-logs@logcluster.org ; https://logcluster.org/ops/ukr22a

• What kind of documentation we should prepare?

For us most important is the equipment list and pro-forma invoice (donation form). It will helps us to smoothly proceed with incoming cargo as well as can give us a hint how much cargo space we need. • Do you take any commission for storage cargo in the warehouse or for the transport from the warehouse to the border?

No, our services are out of charge. The idea of the hub is to facilitate the best possible coordination of incoming donations and swift handover to our Ukrainian counterparts due to limitations at the border and the limited logistic capacities available on the Ukrainian site.

 

• Can we arrange the donation directly to Ukraine by ourselves? 

Yes, you can do that, but we will not be able to support you with logistics and the border crossing procedures. Moreover, you will need to identify a consignee of your donation and prepare the pickup of the cargo from the border by the consignee.

 

• Are you interested in purchasing the equipment?

No, we are not.
