An electricity storage system is a container-type facility installed on the ground or on a structure driven into the ground, designed to store generated electricity. The level of renewable energy production often depends on the time of day and weather conditions, which causes significant variability in generation. To balance these fluctuations, storage systems are used, enabling the development of stable and efficient models for electricity generation and distribution based on renewable sources. By storing energy during periods of overproduction, it can be used later during peak demand. Additionally, it should be noted that electricity storage systems also serve to improve the quality of electricity.

 

In cases where energy production from a RES installation exceeds consumption or when there is no economic need to feed the generated energy into the grid, storage systems allow for energy balancing by shifting its use over time. Thanks to the ability to control and manage the process of accumulating and releasing energy, storage systems can provide numerous functionalities tailored to the current needs of the user and the parameters of the power grid. It should be emphasized that storage systems help manage energy efficiently in industrial installations, leading to a faster return on investment costs incurred for the purchase of the system and the associated RES installation.
