GNSS signal interference is a real issue increasingly affecting users in Poland and across much of Europe - from geodesy to transportation and energy. Until now, there have been no comprehensive solutions for detecting and monitoring such disruptions. That is about to change!

During the IGF Poland 2025 forum, the National Institute of Telecommunications organized a discussion panel titled "Financing Model for the AI GigaFactory in the Baltic Region: What Mix of Private and Public Capital?”. The focus was on the Baltic AI GigaFactory project, which aims to position Poland and the Baltic countries as leaders in artificial intelligence. A key role in the debate was played by Anna Streżyńska, Director of the National Institute of Telecommunications.

The National Institute of Telecommunications (NIT) proudly served as the honorary patron of this year's edition of the Poland Security Congress - Total Security. Representatives of the Institute actively participated in two key debates dedicated to strategic challenges for the state and the future of smart cities.

On 13 November 2025, a debate titled "Assessing Preparedness to Combat Jamming and Spoofing: Business and Regulatory Perspectives” took place in Brussels. The event was organized by the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU and the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications. Among the invited experts from several European countries was Dr. Krzysztof Bronk from the Gdańsk branch of the National Institute of Telecommunications.

On 12 November 2025, at the headquarters of the National Atomic Energy Agency, President Andrzej Głowacki ceremonially presented representatives of the Institute with the decision granting the National Institute of Telecommunications' IT Security Evaluation Facility authorization to conduct tests in the field of "Assessment of technical solutions related to cybersecurity applied in the nuclear power plant design.”

The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming an inseparable part of modern cities, industry, and everyday life. Alongside it, the LoRa (Long Range) technology is rapidly developing, enabling energy-efficient and long-distance wireless communication between devices. The Electromagnetic Compatibility Department of the National Institute of Telecommunications in Wrocław is conducting research on spectrum occupancy in the 863-870 MHz band. These studies make it possible to assess the operational efficiency of LoRa technology under real traffic conditions and determine how effectively the available spectrum is being used by IoT devices.

The accredited IT Security Evaluation Facility (ITSEF) at the National Institute of Telecommunications successfully evaluated the cybersecurity of the DTMS-2 motion sensor.

The third issue of the Journal of Telecommunications and Information Technology (JTIT), published by the National Institute of Telecommunications, is now available.

On 22 September 2025, the first meeting of the Scientific Council of the National Institute of Telecommunications (NIT) for the new 2025-2029 term took place. Dr. Eng. Radosław Wiśniewski was elected Chair of the Council.

President Karol Nawrocki has signed the Act of 25 July 2025 amending the Act on the Computerization of the Operations of Public Entities and certain other acts. This is a significant step towards improving the digitalization of public administration and enhancing the management of the state's IT resources.
