1 The website is partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the following areas of non-compliance and exceptions listed below:

  • there may be situations where, despite the efforts of the portal's editors, certain documents published on the website are digitally inaccessible due to the fact that they were published before the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities came into effect or are from external sources,
  • some documents that are downloadable attachments (e.g., records, lists, etc.) are digitally inaccessible and will be successively corrected,
  • some videos posted on the site may not have subtitles or other required elements, due to the fact that they were published before the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities came into force or are from external sources,
  • the documents or presentations are archival in nature and were published before 23/09/2018 and their content is not necessary for current tasks

Inaccessible content

Some elements of the website have too low contrast for aesthetic reasons (slides). Videos on the website do not have subtitles, audiodescription or alternative content for persons with visual and hearing disabilities. All the above issues will be successively resolved. The PDF and DOC documents published on the website are written in a way that is inaccessible to persons with impaired vision. Documents are systematically supplemented with either accessible PDF and DOC versions or text versions.

Any user has the right to request the accessibility of the website (https://www.gov.pl/web/nfosigw-en), the mobile application or any element thereof, he or she may also request that the information be made available through an alternative means of access. In such request, please provide:

  • your name,
  • your contact information,
  • the exact address of the subpage where the digitally inaccessible element is, or the content of the description, what the problem is and what the best way to solve it would be according to the person making the request.

The public entity should comply with the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform when it will be possible to comply with the request, but this deadline shall not be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, the public entity may propose an alternative way to access the information. If it is not possible to provide digital accessibility, NFEP&WM will propose an alternative way to access the information. In the event that NFEP&WM refuses to comply with the request to provide accessibility or an alternative way of accessing the information, any requester may file a complaint on the provision of digital accessibility of the website or its component.

Architectural accessibility

The Building of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, 3A Konstruktorska Street, 02-673 Warsaw, can be accessed independently by car or by public transport. Access by public transport: line 136: stop Konstruktorska 01 and 06, line 138: stop Konstruktorska 01 and 02, access by tram line 17, 18 and 31: stop Konstruktorska 03 and 04. In front of the building there is a designated parking space for the disabled.

The easiest way to reach the main entrance of the NFEP&WM building is from Konstruktorska Street, the sidewalks leading to the building are not equipped with guidance paths for the blind/visually impaired.

There are 2 entrances to the building from Konstruktorska Street, marked with numbers 1a and 3a. There are wheelchair ramps at both entrances. There are also stairs leading to both entrances. For guests, there is an entrance 3a where the main reception is located. The main reception is equipped with an induction loop to assist the hard of hearing. In addition, the reception staff provides information about the layout of the NFEP&WM’s premises, and additionally, a visual version of information about the location and function of the premises in the buildings is provided on an info kiosk screen. The most friendly entrance for people with special needs is the entrance to building 1A, where there is a possibility to leave or deposit correspondence and to be assisted by the staff of the reception of the NFEP&WM at the entrance to the building or to use the wheelchairs provided by the reception after prior arrangement by phone - tel. +48 (22) 45 90 500. Further passages are secured by gates through which a person in a wheelchair can pass. The entrance doors to the edifice are adapted for the passage of a wheelchair. For wheelchair users and the blind, there are elevators marked with spot writing in Braille. Toilets for the disabled are located on the first floor of the buildings in close proximity to the reception area and on the first floor level opposite the gates. It is possible to enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog. Evacuation mattresses are provided in the building to assist evacuation coordinators in transporting a person with special needs in the event to evacuate the buildings. The main reception is equipped with an induction loop to assist the hard of hearing.

Moving around NFEP&WM’s buildings

In accordance with the safety rules at NFEP&WM, visitors and interested parties do not move around the buildings on their own. They are always accompanied by invitees or project managers, which ensuring that the visitors can reach the right rooms and be provided with the necessary support.

 

Accessibility in the recruitment process

People with special needs are encouraged to apply - we are open towards people with disabilities. During the recruitment process:

  • we provide an electronic application form;
  • we provide the use of our own devices and tailor-made solutions;
  • provide induction loops;
  • adapt the materials used during the recruitment process to the needs of people with special needs (e.g. larger fonts in printed materials);
  • we provide sign language interpreters;
  • we carry out various stages of recruitment online.
