International cooperation

In accordance with the Atomic Law Act, cooperation with relevant national foreign entities of other countries and international organizations within the scope of nuclear safety and radiological protection is one of the duties of the President of National Atomic Energy Agency.

Therefore the National Atomic Energy Agency cooperates on regular basis with its counterparts from other countries and international organizations in order to exchange experience and raise competence improving its activities in Poland.

Provisions of international laws, membership in international organizations and bilateral agreements constitute the basis for cooperation.

PAA’s international relations are in tight cooperation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Economy, and in particular the Government’s Commissioner for Polish Nuclear Power as well as with other ministers (heads of central offices) in line with the scope of their responsibilities.
