During the meeting in Warsaw, the scope of PAA's activities in the European Group of Nuclear Safety Regulators was also discussed.

05.01.2023We are developing a map of the country's radiation situation - from now on, the map portal publishes the results of measurements of the ionizing radiation level of thirteen new PMS stations belonging to the PAA, as well as the results provided by the stations of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

03.01.2023The 13th new PMS (Permanent Monitoring Station) contamination station was launched in the operating year of the National Atomic Energy Agency. A larger number of stations means a faster response in the event of a crisis.

15.12.2022The celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) and topics of licensing and safety of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) are lead topics in the 4/2022 issue of the "Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection" bulletin, which is now available on the PAA website. The bulletin also discusses the effects of low radiation doses and Chernobyl tourism.

14.12.2022Dr Łukasz Młynarkiewicz submitted his resignation from office of the President of the PAA to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The Prime Minister accepted this resignation and recalled Dr. Młynarkiewicz from the office of the President of the PAA as of December 14, 2022.

12.12.2022Licensing and safety assessment of new nuclear power plants were the main topics of the workshop organized by the PAA in Warsaw. The event was attended by American experts from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of the United States of America (US NRC).
