The President of the National Atomic Energy Agency took part in a meeting with representatives of the US industry

Andrzej Głowacki, President of the PAA, participated in a bilateral meeting with representatives of the US nuclear industry, who are in Warsaw as part of a visit by a US government delegation. The conversation covered, among other things, issues related to the development of nuclear power in Poland.

The President of the PAA participates in a bilateral meeting with the participation of m.in. Marzena Czarnecka, Minister of Industry, and Wojciech Wrochna, Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, with representatives of the American nuclear industry, who are in Warsaw as part of the visit of the U.S. government delegation.

During the meeting, which was attended by, among others, Marzena Czarnecka, Minister of Industry, and Wojciech Wrochna, Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, Andrzej Głowacki spoke about the role of the PAA in the Polish nuclear project and the challenges facing nuclear regulatory authority in connection with the construction of a nuclear power plant in the country.

- We are in constant contact and strengthening cooperation with regulators from countries that have developed nuclear technology. This includes the US NRC, which is the regulator of the country of the technology supplier for the first Polish nuclear power plant - says Andrzej Głowacki. The President of the PAA stresses that similar meetings are always a good opportunity to exchange experience, and for the PAA especially in the context of nuclear safety and radiation protection issues.

The meeting with the delegation of American companies was also attended by an expert from the Nuclear Safety and Security Department of the National Atomic Energy Agency, who is responsible, among other things, for matters related to the licensing proceedings for activities involving the construction, commissioning and operation of nuclear facilities.
