Where to apply?
From 14.07.2025 visa applications to Poland should be submitted only at Polish BLS Visa Application Centers (VACs), which locations are following:
1. Metro Manila VAC: 7th Floor (Dela Rosa Facing), 6780 Ayala Avenue Building, 6780 Ayala Avenue, Makati City, 1226, Manila, Philippines;
2. Cebu VAC: Unit 707, Ayala Life FGU Center, Mindanao Avenue, corner Biliran Road, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City, 6000, Philippines.
From 14.07.2025, visa applications to Poland will not be accepted directly at the Embassy of Poland in Manila.
In order to register an appointment to submit a visa application at the VAC, you need to register via the website:

According to Article 9 of the Community Code on Visas, applications must be submitted no earlier than six months before the start of the planned visit and, as a rule, no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the planned visit.
At the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Manila by appointment at the ekonsulat.

What documents do I need to submit?
Please note!
You can apply for an A-Type visa only if:
- You are planning to stay only in the airport's transit area and are not planning to leave it. The A-Type visa does not authorise you to stay in the Schengen area.
- You are a citizen of one of the countries below: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka.
You do not need to apply for an A-Type visa if you:
- hold a diplomatic passport,
- are a member of an EU citizen's closest family,
- hold a C-Type or D-Type visa or a residence permit issued by one of the EU Member States
- hold any of the residence permits listed in Annex V of the Community Code on Visas, issued by Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino or the United States of America,
- hold a valid visa of a European Economic Area country or Canada, Japan or the United States of America, or you are returning from these countries after using such visa.
Required documents:
- A visa application form, printed and signed;
- A 3.5 x 4.5 cm colour photo. The photo must be:
- a) sharp, taken against white background and printed on a quality paper.
- b) newer than 6 months;
- c) taken en face, clearly showing the eyes and face from both sides from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders with the face covering 70-80% of the photo. The photo must be taken without any headwear.

- Passport issued within last ten years, valid for at least three months from the expected return date, with at least two blank pages for visas.
- A copy of the passport page with personal data and the photo.
- A healthcare insurance valid across the Schengen area for the amount not lower than EUR 30,000 - list of accredited insurance companies.
- A copy of an ID document to confirm residence within the consular district of your application.
- A document to confirm that you will continue your journey after leaving the transit area (for example, a plane ticket or a visa of the country of destination).
- Any information to prove that you do not intend to make your way into the territory of any of the Schengen area countries.
Additionally, when applying for a visa for a child you should present:
- Written consent of the child’s parent(s) to apply for a visa, confirmed by a notary. If there is only one guardian, it should be proved by a birth certificate, a court decision on exclusive parental custody or a death certificate of the other parent.
- Originals and copies of parents' passports.
- An original and a copy of a birth certificate.
If the child is entered in the parent's or legal guardian’s passport, submit a separate visa application. The visa will be pasted into the parent's or the legal guardian's passport.
Please note:
- You must apply for a visa in a consular office or the embassy’s consular department in the consular district of your place of residence.
- Usually, the above documents are enough to receive a visa, however, the consul may require additional documents.
- The consul may, but does not have to, invite the applicant for an interview.
- A-Type visa does not allow you to leave the airport transit area.
How much does it cost?
The fee for submitting a visa application is in accordance with the table of consular fees.
The payment is accepted only in cash.
The visa fee shall be waived for applicants belonging to one of the
from the following categories:
1. children under 6 years of age;
2. pupils, students, doctoral students and accompanying teachers,
who are travelling to study or participate in training;
3. researchers from third countries travelling for research purposes
as defined in Recommendation 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and of the
Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 in order to facilitate the issuance of
single short-stay visas for researchers from third countries
travelling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out research(21);
4. representatives of non-profit organisations under the age of 25 participating in the
in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural and educational events
organised by non-profit organisations;
5. family members of EU/EEA and Swiss citizens.
Fee exemptions provided for in the Consular Law of 25 June 2015
Art. 113.
1. There is no consular fee for the reception and processing of a visa application from the
family member of a citizen of the European Union within the meaning of Article 2(4) in conjunction with point 3 of the Act on
of 14 July 2006 on entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland, residence and
citizens of the Member States of the European Union and members of their Member States have left that territory

2. There is no consular fee for the reception and processing of the visa application and
fees for reprocessing a visa application submitted by a citizen's spouse
a Polish citizen, his or her minor direct descendant or a minor direct
descendant of his or her spouse, his or her direct ascendant or direct ascendant
his or her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on a Polish citizen or
his wife.
Art. 114. There is no consular fee for accepting and processing a visa application
diplomatic or official activities.
Children aged 6-12 - fee is in accordance with the table of consular fees.
The visa application fee is non-returnable, whatever the consul's decision.
What is the waiting time?
The decision on the application is made within 15 calendar days from the date of submission of the application that meets the admissibility criteria. In individual cases, this deadline can be extended up to a maximum of 45 calendar days, especially when further verification of the application is necessary. In justified individual cases of urgency, decisions on applications may be taken without delay.
How to collect the documents?
The documents can be collected each working days between 14:00 and 15:00.
How to appeal?
If you do not agree with the consul's decision, you may ask to have your visa application re-considered. You must apply for the reconsideration within 14 days of its delivery.
What documents you need to appeal against visa refusals:
1. consular fee payment for request for reconsideration of national visa according to the Table of Consular Fees,
2. a letter requesting the consul to review your application,
3. your passport,
4. refusal decision,
5. additional documents that were not included in the first visa application.
If the consul, after considering your request for review, has issued a a renewed decision to refuse a visa with which you disagree, you have the right to complain to the of the Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw. The complaint should be submitted via
consul who has taken the decision within 30 days of receipt of the decision re-examination of the case.
When you forward your complaint to the consul, you do not pay any fee to the consul, but the proceedings
before administrative courts is subject to fees. So you have to reckon with the fact that you will be
requested by the court to pay the court fee. Information on the amount of fees
