D-Type national visa
Where to apply?
From 14.07.2025 visa applications to Poland should be submitted only at Polish BLS Visa Application Centers (VACs), which locations are following:
1. Metro Manila VAC: 7th Floor (Dela Rosa Facing), 6780 Ayala Avenue Building, 6780 Ayala Avenue, Makati City, 1226, Manila, Philippines;
2. Cebu VAC: Unit 707, Ayala Life FGU Center, Mindanao Avenue, corner Biliran Road, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City, 6000, Philippines.
From 14.07.2025, visa applications to Poland will not be accepted directly at the Embassy of Poland in Manila.
In order to register an appointment to submit a visa application at the VAC, you need to register via the website:

Applications must be submitted no earlier than six months before the start of the planned visit and, as a general rule, no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the planned visit.
From 1.06.2025, applications must be submitted in person at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Manila after making an appointment at the e-konsulat.

How to book an appointment?
In order to register an appointment to submit a visa application at the Metro Manila VAC or Cebu VAC, you need to register via the website:
What documents do I need to submit?
1. A visa application form, printed and signed.
2. A 3.5 x 4.5 cm colour photo. The photo must be:
a. sharp, taken against white background and printed on a quality paper,
b. newer than 6 months,
c. taken en face, clearly showing the eyes and face from both sides from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders with the face covering 70-80% of the photo. The photo must be taken without any headwear.

3. Passport issued within last ten years, valid for at least three months from the expected return date, with at least two blank pages for visas. If you have another valid passport, you should attach it to the visa application form.
4. A copy of the passport page with personal data and a photo.
5. Healthcare insurance valid across all countries of the Schengen area for the amount not lower than EUR 30,000. If you apply for a multiple-entry visa, it should cover the date of the first entry - https://www.gov.pl/web/dyplomacja/wizy .
6. Copy of an ID document to confirm residence within the consular district of your application.
7. Proof that you have enough means of subsistence in the form decided by the mission:
a. A valid bank account statement issued by your bank,
b. A valid credit card with a certificate of means available,
c. A current certificate from your place of employment regarding your income from the last 6 months,
d. A travelers checks issued in the name of the visa applicant - original and copy.
8. A proof of accommodation (for example, an official invitation or a hotel booking or reservation).
9. A copy of the flight ticket reservation containing the flight details and booking number.
10. Documents confirming the purpose and the conditions of your planned stay in Poland.

Additional documents required in the case of an application for a work visa (national visa D):
1. Original promise to issue a work permit, drawn up by the competent Polish authorities (voivodeship office).
2. Application made on the print of the company offering employment, including the name, surname, position of the applicant, the desired length of the visa - duration of employment (original signed by a person authorized to sign documents on behalf of the company).
3. Documents confirming the foreigner's previous experience/professional qualifications.
Additional documents required for visa applications for studies and research (national visa D):
1. Certificate of the unit conducting studies on admission to studies or on continuation of studies. A model certificate can be found here.
2. Proof of payment of tuition fees.
3. Document confirming having sufficient financial resources to cover the cost of living and the return travel.
4. A high school diploma together with the results of the school-leaving examination, if such an examination exists in the country of graduation. The document should have an apostille clause.
5. An administrative decision, issued by the relevant Education Office (https://www.gov.pl/web/edukacja/kuratoria-oswiaty), recognising as a document of confirmation in the Republic of Poland a secondary or upper secondary education, or an entitlement to continue education, including an entitlement to apply for admission to higher education, taking into account the scope of entitlements in the country that has issued the school-leaving certificate - required from the people planning to commence the bachelor studies.
6. Certificate of proficiency in the language of studies issued at the level required by the unit conducting the studies.
Additionally, when applying for a visa for a minor you should present:
- Written consent of the child’s parent(s) to apply for a visa, confirmed by a notary. If there is only one guardian, it should be proved by a birth certificate, a court decision on exclusive parental custody or a death certificate of the other parent.
- Originals and copies of parents' passports.
- Original and a copy of a birth certificate.
If a child is entered in their parent's or a legal guardian’s passport, please submit a separate visa application. The visa will be pasted into the parent's or the legal guardian's passport.
Please note:
- You must apply for a visa in a consular office or the embassy’s consular department in the consular district of your place of residence.
- Usually, the above documents are enough to receive a visa, however, the consul may require additional documents.
- Apply for a visa not earlier than three months before your planned journey.
- The consul may, but does not have to, invite the applicant for an interview.
- You may be banned from entering any of the Schengen States if you present forged documents or provide false information.
- Receiving the visa does not guarantee that you will enter the Schengen area - the final decision is always made by the authorities of the country where you intend to cross the Schengen area border.
How much does it cost?
The fee for submitting a visa application is in accordance with the table of consular fees.
The payment is accepted only in cash.
Fee exemptions provided for in the Consular Law of 25 June 2015
Art. 113.
1. There is no consular fee for the reception and processing of a visa application from the
family member of a citizen of the European Union within the meaning of Article 2(4) in conjunction with point 3 of the Act on
of 14 July 2006 on entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland, residence and
citizens of the Member States of the European Union and members of their Member States have left that territory

2. There is no consular fee for the reception and processing of the visa application and
fees for reprocessing a visa application submitted by a citizen's spouse
a Polish citizen, his or her minor direct descendant or a minor direct
descendant of his or her spouse, his or her direct ascendant or direct ascendant
his or her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on a Polish citizen or
his wife.
Art. 114. There is no consular fee for accepting and processing a visa application
diplomatic or official activities.
The visa application fee is non-returnable, whatever the consul's decision.
What is the waiting time?
A national visa is issued or refused within 15 days from the date of submission application in that regard, unless the application is declared inadmissible. In justified cases, this deadline may be extended to 30 days, and if it is necessary to consult the Head of the Office for Foreigners, the decision will be made within 5 days from the date of obtaining the requested information.
How to collect the documents?
The documents can be collected each working days between 14:00 and 15:00.
How to appeal?
If you do not agree with the consul's decision, you may ask to have your visa application re-considered. You must apply for the reconsideration within 14 days of its delivery.
What documents you need to appeal against visa refusals:
1. consular fee payment for request for reconsideration of national visa according to the Table of Consular Fees,
2. a letter requesting the consul to review your application,
3. your passport,
4. refusal decision,
5. additional documents that were not included in the first visa application.
Requests for reconsideration should be submitted directly to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Manila on working days from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. To apply for a reconsideration, you do not need to register for an appointment in our online system.

Does the spouse of a Polish citizen have to attach supporting documents?
Yes, the spouse of a Polish citizen applying for a D-Type visa for Poland is required to provide a complete set of supporting documents.
