Energy crisis – discussion on the current situation and further forms of aid

Discussions focused on solutions for the distribution of coal and high electricity prices. The laws proposed by the Government have been positively assessed by the Joint Commission of the Government and Local Government.

The government has prepared a draft law that will make it easier for local authorities to distribute coal supplies. Thanks to this, residents will have easier access to this raw material at a lower price. Local authorities will be able to buy coal for PLN 1500 and sell it for a maximum of PLN 2000. The difference between buying from an importer and selling it to residents is the income of the municipality. These are the funds needed to cover the cost of coal distribution. It should be emphasised that in today’s terms, the price of this raw material in private warehouses often exceeds PLN 3500.

Coal supply

We are focusing on ensuring that all entities have the necessary supplies of heating coal. We are monitoring the balance sheet situation on an ongoing basis, taking into account import and mining plans in comparison with the demand for the raw material. We are also taking a series of steps to ensure that there is no shortage of coal during the heating season.
