That is why Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a letter of intent on joint production of weapons and ammunition. Direct support from Poland is also flowing to Kyiv in the form of, among other things, power generators.

Poland will cooperate with U.S. authorities and international partners. The aim includes protecting any potential Polish victims. There are also suspicions that Russian services may have co-organized this operation, so the matter is of significant importance to national security. The head of government also announced a visit to Kyiv at the invitation of President Zelenskyy. The Prime Minister also referred to record-breaking frost across the country and appealed to crisis-response services to remain on full readiness.

"This is a watershed moment. SAFE was in part conceived and initiated by Poland. From the very first day of our government, we did everything to ensure that NATO's eastern border became an important task for all of Europe,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk said ahead of a meeting of the Council of Ministers. Poland, as the largest beneficiary, will receive nearly PLN 200 billion, with as much as 80 percent going to Polish companies. These funds will stimulate the Polish economy. Today, the government adopted the assumptions of Poland's foreign policy for the coming year, focusing on relations with allies and with states that pose a threat to Poland's security.
