27.02.2026 KobyłkaSAFE: Poland's Blueprint for European Security and Domestic Defence Growth"We are in the final stretch of a major project that will increase the security of Poland and the whole of Europe,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk said today. Together with ministers, he participated in an event dedicated to the new capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces, which will be financed under the EU SAFE programme. He addressed three myths that have arisen around SAFE. First, the programme does not threaten our sovereignty. Second, the so-called conditionality of SAFE is supervisory and anti-corruption in nature. Third, as much as 89% of the programme's funds will go to Polish industry. The implementation of SAFE will not undermine transatlantic relations or Poland's strategic interests in cooperation with the United States. Nearly 12,000 Polish companies will benefit from the programme. Today, the Sejm adopted the Senate's amendments to the act implementing SAFE. The bill will now go to the President.
