Prime Minister Donald Tusk met in Warsaw with Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin. "Between Poland and Ireland there is no conflict of interests or divergence on any of the most important issues," said the Prime Minister. Warsaw and Dublin are cooperating above all in the area of security. Both countries share the same assessment of the situation on Poland's eastern border and unequivocally condemn Russian aggression against Ukraine. This demonstrates that security is a common European concern, regardless of geographical location. Poland and Ireland will also work within the EU to bring down energy prices, so that they do not pose a threat to the competitiveness of the European economy.

"I am glad that everyone is beginning to understand that Poland is a loyal, responsible, but also demanding partner," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the signing ceremony for offset agreements between Military Aviation Works No. 1 and Lockheed Martin. Through the investment in AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters, Poland will become the country with the largest number of these aircraft after the United States, and a state-of-the-art service centre worth hundreds of millions of dollars will be built for them in Łódź. The contract is the result of tough negotiations conducted by the government in the interest of national security, and of the consistent strengthening of the country's defence capabilities while respecting commitments to allies.

A political breakthrough in Brussels on the EU Emissions Trading System, ETS. "Poland is to receive financial assistance from the ETS mechanism, under which proceeds from a portion of emission allowances will be transferred to less wealthy member states that bear the heaviest energy cost burden," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk following the European Council meeting. "We are in the final stretch of a major project that will increase the security of Poland and the whole of Europe,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk said today. Together with ministers, he participated in an event dedicated to the new capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces, which will be financed under the EU SAFE programme. He addressed three myths that have arisen around SAFE. First, the programme does not threaten our sovereignty. Second, the so-called conditionality of SAFE is supervisory and anti-corruption in nature. Third, as much as 89% of the programme's funds will go to Polish industry. The implementation of SAFE will not undermine transatlantic relations or Poland's strategic interests in cooperation with the United States. Nearly 12,000 Polish companies will benefit from the programme. Today, the Sejm adopted the Senate's amendments to the act implementing SAFE. The bill will now go to the President.
