"We want to defend a safe Poland and a safe United Kingdom, and to protect our values," the Prime Minister emphasized. Warsaw and London have elevated their bilateral relations to the highest level. The Northolt Treaty provides for cooperation in the areas of defence, the defence industry, and cybersecurity. The goal of both states is to effectively deter a potential aggressor, Russia. This is another strategic agreement concluded by our country, following the signing of a similar treaty with France in 2025.

20.05.2026 Warsaw"What we managed to achieve in 2023, and your brilliant victory, are testament to the fact that people are willing to defend values such as democracy, freedom, and the rule of law," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk following his meeting with Hungary's new Prime Minister Péter Magyar. For his first foreign visit after taking office, the Hungarian Prime Minister chose Poland. His visit marks the symbolic opening of a new chapter in Budapest's relationship with Europe. Péter Magyar also wishes to renew cooperation within the Visegrád Group - the important initiative linking Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, through which four Central and Eastern European countries strengthen their standing on the international stage. Warsaw can offer cooperation on energy security here, including investment in infrastructure, so that the entire region becomes as self-sufficient as possible in terms of energy supply and sources.

Our two countries deserve relations at the highest possible level," the Prime Minister said. Warsaw and Rome are bound by friendship, shared history, and a commitment to the same values. The two countries also share positions on the most important European issues - including the war in Ukraine, the EU Emissions Trading System, and EU funds. Last year Poland signed a treaty deepening cooperation with France, and a similar agreement with the United Kingdom is planned for the end of May.

This is the result of consistent efforts by Polish authorities, the intelligence services, and broad international cooperation. Securing his release was one of the government's top priorities.

This marks a very important moment in Polish-Ukrainian efforts aimed at securing the continent and defending Ukraine against Russian aggression. The drone armada project is intended not only to strengthen Poland's defense capabilities, but also to contribute to a technological leap encompassing the entire eastern flank of Europe. The event, attended by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, begins preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, the world's largest conference dedicated to the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will take place in June in Gdańsk.

Both issues had previously been blocked by the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Talks also covered European security, NATO, energy, and SAFE programme funds for Poland.

In difficult geopolitical times, predictability, loyalty, and solidarity between states take on particular importance. That is why the stability of Polish-French relations and their tangible outcomes matter. Poland and France cooperate in areas including energy, security, defence, and the space sector. France is also one of Poland's key partners in the context of protecting the eastern border and supporting Ukraine. The meeting of the two governments in Gdańsk is part of the implementation of the Treaty on Enhanced Cooperation and Friendship between Warsaw and Paris, signed on 9 May 2025 in Nancy. 20 April has been established as Polish-French Friendship Day.

"We will do everything possible to facilitate cooperation and the operations of Polish companies in Japan and Japanese companies in Poland. Our countries are capable of a great story," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during his visit to Tokyo. By joining the ranks of the world's wealthiest economies, Poland is cementing its position as an equal partner for Japan. In this way, the aspirations of many generations of Poles, for whom the Land of the Rising Sun has been a symbol of success and modernity, are finally being fulfilled. Warsaw and Tokyo also point to the growing importance of geopolitical cooperation: both states are to play a stabilising role in their regions and in the world.
