Geopolitical changes are a great opportunity for Poland

The COVID-19 pandemic was a shock to the world, but one that created an opportunity to change it. We must seize this opportunity. However, Belarusian hybrid activities, the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis have shown that the threats around us are still real and unprecedented.

- After Russia's attack on Ukraine, it turned out that Poland is at the same time, to put it mildly and with modesty, a kind of center followed by many other countries from our part of the world. Not only countries from the post-communist bloc, but also all the others that have understood how powerful a threat Russia is,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed.

Thanks to our determination and active diplomacy at every level, the voice of Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is more audible today than ever before. European countries today acknowledge that Poland was right - particularly on the issue of security, including energy security.

- We must make good use of this time. We must use it to strengthen our position on the international stage, to make our case,” the prime minister addressed Polish diplomats.

Community is our Strength

Europe faces a crucial test today. European countries are making a choice between solidarity and community, and individual interests. Poland stands for strong Europe and European Union, whose role in the world should grow, and European values should be taken as an example.

- The big challenge we face at the political level in the European Union is the attempt to bring about far-reaching centralization of decisions, without regard for the will of the respective member states. We strongly want to counteract this,” the head of government said.

Poland is an integral part of the European Union and actively presents its initiatives and views in the European forum. It is in our interest for the European Union to be a strong community of sovereign states that unites more than divides, and every member can be heard.

Poland Enters a Higher Level of Development

Today we are the leader in the region and the leader of transatlantic cooperation. We can also become one of the leaders of the new Europe. Our stronger position is due, among other things, to the great technological investments in our country and the right economic policies. The role of our diplomacy is to continue to build a positive image of Poland - to present the opportunities and potential that our country offers. This is what attracts investors from all over the world to Poland.

- With each new investment that the wages of Poles rise, the Polish economic fabric is further refined and new ecosystems create a new development perspective, a very positive development perspective for Poland,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed. Poland today has the lowest level of unemployment in the entire European Union, he added.

Recently, we have been able to attract investments from such global companies as Intel, Visa and Microsoft. Arms contracts, as well as the development of nuclear power in Poland, are also proof that Poland is an attractive country to invest in. We are moving up the development ladder by attracting and creating state-of-the-art technologies.
