Communication on the Social Dialogue Council
25.01.2024
The government wants to resume the work of the Social Dialogue Council as soon as possible, which is why on 5 January Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed ministers to represent the government in the work of the Council. At the same time, he asked President Andrzej Duda to appoint ministers to the council as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, the President delayed making a decision and set the ceremony of appointing members of the government to the Council for 25 January. In response, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister informed the Chancellery of the President that on that day there was a session of the Sejm, during which ministers performed their official duties. As a result, they will not be able to attend the celebration.
At the same time, the head of the Prime Minister's Office asked the President's Office to sign the appointments of government representatives as soon as possible. We hope that the President will do so in the course of his duties, and that the Council, as the most important institution of national social dialogue in Poland, will be able to start working as soon as possible.
