Easier crossing of the Polish-Ukrainian border for trucks with humanitarian aid

06.03.2022

We have simplified the border crossing procedure for trucks with humanitarian aid for Ukraine at two border crossing points: in Korczowa and in Dorohusk. Simplified customs clearance is possible on the basis of a completed and submitted form. As a result, Ukraine will more quickly receive humanitarian aid provided by Poland and the rest of the free world. Thank you for helping Ukraine!

‘Every day, more and more NGOs, local governments and people of good will join in to help Ukraine,’ said Michał Dworczyk, the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Therefore, the rules for transporting humanitarian aid by trucks have been simplified at two border crossings with Ukraine: Dorohusk-Jahodyn and Korczowa-Krakovets.

Simplified procedures for trucks with humanitarian trucks only apply to:

  • transport by trucks (not passenger cars),
  • vehicles entering Ukraine (crossing the border with a final destination on the territory of Ukraine),
  • two border crossings: Korczowa and Dorohusk (return to Poland at any border crossing point in accordance with the current regulations).

NOTE: Drivers must have valid passports!

To use a simplified customs clearance procedure, you need to complete and submit a form, which is available at  www.pomagamukrainie.gov.pl. To submit the form, you must have a trusted profile.

Customs clearance procedure

Minister Michał Dworczyk announced that the humanitarian coordination platform run by the government was launched on the existing website pomagamukrainie.gov.pl. ‘We decided to depart from the standard procedure due to the war and managed to create the simplest possible form of humanitarian aid clearance,’ emphasised the Minister.

Completing and submitting the form via the Trusted Profile is a one-time activity. If you need to change your data, you must complete and submit the form again.

After submitting the form, you will receive two documents at the email address you provided:

  • ‘Confirmation’ in a pdf file – document confirming the willingness to cross the Polish-Ukrainian border with humanitarian aid, containing a unique form number and basic information relating to the transport.
  • Marking’ in a pdf file with a special vehicle marking (containing a unique number), which you must print out (in A4 format) and affix in a prominent position on the windscreen in the top right-hand corner.

Humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine

The government arranges aid by collecting all kinds of resources from all over the country and by buying the most needed products and sending them to Ukraine. In addition, Poland organises various pan-European actions. We receive the supplies and then distribute them - in agreement with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine - to different cities or to people who need them most. The Government Strategic Reserves Agency receives aid from abroad. Our allies deliver products and tangible goods for Ukraine to Poland.

‘Every day, more than 100 trucks sent by the Government Strategic Reserves Agency cross the border to Ukraine,’ concluded the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. He also thanked all NGOs, local governments and all Poles who have been showing their solidarity with the citizens of Ukraine by providing support.
