I am happy that we were able to complete it as promised, says Prime Minister Morawiecki during opening of No. 993 regional road

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Pszczyna county, where the No. 933 regional road has recently been made available to drivers. Thanks to this, the Śląskie Voivodeship has gained yet another new road section. Road infrastructure modernisation contributes to the improvement of travel conditions by shortening the travel time between towns. The No. 933 regional road is bound to further increase resident safety and attract new investors. It is in no small part thanks to Poland’s expanding road network that more and more regions can benefit from faster economic growth.

Prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Pszczyna county, where the No. 933 regional road has recently been made available to drivers.

“Just over two years ago, we announced the construction of this road – a vital route in the south of the Śląskie Voivodeship, connecting Pszczyna, Wodzisław and Racibórz. I am happy that we were able to complete it as promised”, said PM Morawiecki.

Modernisation of road No. 993 to bring improved safety to residents

The investment project aimed to improve safety for the vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic along the road, and to that end, its technical parameters were adapted to meet the criteria of a G-class road.

“We do not build these roads just to show our credibility, agency and efficiency. We build them primarily out of respect for the local residents and for the safety of our citizens. And also out of respect for our citizens’ money, since the new roads will shorten travel time and improve the natural environment in cities. This will help attract new business so that economic growth can bring new prospects and opportunities”, said the Prime Minister.

New investment projects attract entrepreneurs

New roads create communication systems that bring improvements in terms of economic growth prospects. Connecting subsequent routes into integrated networks attracts new investors who can use such developed areas to establish and expand their businesses.

“This is yet another completed road among those we are building. This road brings new jobs as well – after all, jobs and economic growth do not appear out of thin air. They appear because of a logical, strategic programme, in which road infrastructure is a top priority”, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. “Along these roads will come new entrepreneurs to set up new businesses because a better-connected region creates vastly improved development prospects. This means better life prospects for Polish families. Not only here in Pszczyna, here in Silesia, but also throughout all of Poland”, he added.
