During the first meeting of the Commission, organisational matters and the timetable for further work were established. It was agreed that the committee should hold daily proceedings over the next few weeks.

Local government units have submitted applications for a total of over 90 billion PLN. In the first round, about 20 billion PLN will be allocated for the realisation of investments.

"There is a lot of work ahead of us, but we want to make as many investments as possible within the framework of the Polish Deal," said Minister Szefernaker after the Commission's meeting. The Commission's Chairman added that an extraordinary meeting of the Joint Commission of the Government and Local Government is planned for October, during which the distribution of funds from the first round of the Government Fund "Polish Deal" will be summed up and discussed.
